Pg 057: TWO masters

Parenting

I was helping my son with his homework when he was attending private school in 2nd grade.  When I showed him how to solve the math problem, he said, “But the teacher won’t let us do it that way."

I realized in a new way that my son was telling me he had two masters. Which master should he listen to?  Ancient literature states clearly that no one can serve two masters.

Put another way, someone once remarked that when a man has a watch, he knows what time it is.  When he has two watches, he is never quite sure.

Homeschooling allows parents to reclaim their role and position by providing one master for their children.
