Any good textbook will have a Table of Contents.  This Table of Contents contains my entire lesson plan for the whole year in that subject! That’s right, the Table of Contents lays out my scope, sequence, and subjects of the material in the book -- prearranged in a reasonable, logical order.

 

Is there any doubt in your mind that any one textbook chapter could be a whole year’s worth of studying, learning, projects, watching related rental videos, searching the internet, or whatever?  Do you think you could spend a whole year studying just Egyptian History?  Of course ...

 

That Table of Contents is a gold mine because it contains the structure of an educational plan. Take that plan and make it your plan!  Not the book’s plan -- your plan.

 

Some huge publishing corporation spent some gazzillion dollars paying professionals to put that plan together -- take it and use it as yours!!!
