Pg 031: School world vs. Real world
Education
I remember my classroom experiences to be very competitive. There was the usual grading, but there were also contests, comparisons, and competitions used to motivate us.
My memory of the school world is different from what I learned in the real world. In the real world, I discovered that I cannot get the jobs done by myself -- I need people who will cooperate with me and I need to cooperate with them.
To succeed in the school world, I must be competitive.
To succeed in the real world, I must be cooperative.
The school world and the real world are different.
