Pg 072: 24 students

 

Teachers are great people.  Teachers are not the problem with the traditional classroom.  Teachers are not the bad guys.

 

The problem with the classroom is the classroom -- its structure, its requirements, its restrictions, its rules.  Teachers are professionals, no question.  But they are barely able to monitor the variables in the classroom.

 

So many variables:

•  24 students means 48 parents.
•  48 parents means a potential 48 sets of
         morals.
•  24 students means up to 24 combinations
        of learning styles.
•  24 students means 24 levels of mental
        development.
•  24 students means 24 levels of physical
        development.
•  24 students means 24 sets of emotions,
        and those emotions change everyday.

 

Those are a lot of variables for one teacher to handle.
