Pg 029: Teen apprecites you

 

Will your teens ever get an appreciation for what you're providing them?

 

Have your teen go room-by-room in your house and inventory the items they’ll need in order to live.  Everything.  Soap dishes, plates, silverware, refrigerator, blankets, lamps, light bulbs, everything, everything, everything in every room!
 
Rugs, towels, chairs, tables, food, canned goods, dry goods, everything.  This is a great accounting assignment, even sociology.

Have the teen put all these items on accounting paper, take a week to research the prices, then add them all up.   You have any idea what kind of household furnishings and supplies you’d have to buy if you started out with nothing?  Wow. 

When your teen finishes this project, he may have a different appreciation for  what mom and dad have done.  He may even look at you differently and realize how fortunate he is to be living with you.
