Pg 024: Parents of your grandchildren

 

In my professional life, I have listened to parents talk about their children for about 35 years.

 

I have heard parents refer to their children as  “little adults,”  as “an enemy,”  as “an animal,” even as “monsters."

 

All of these views of our children are incorrect.  It is more accurate to view our children as the parents of our grandchildren.

 

Let me say that again.  The children you raise today are the parents of your grandchildren tomorrow.

 

Today I am a grandfather.  I never realized how much what I invested in my son and daughter would influence the parenting of my grandchildren.
