Pg 006: Refrigerator

Homeschooling         

 

When we began homeschooling in 1984, it was not common in Maine.  About a month after we began homeschooling, we invited a couple over to our house for dinner. They were a husband-and-wife team of public school teachers.

We did not know what kind of assessment our teacher-friends would make of our homeschooling 4th grader and 2nd grader.

At the table, our lady guest asked the children, “So what do you like best about homeschooling?”  

Almost simultaneously, they answered,  “The refrigerator.”
